The Perfect School Rucksack with Swanky Swans - 20% discount code:
Finding the perfect backpack for school can be a bit daunting.
The idea backpack not only needs to be spacious but most importantly it has to be sturdy enough to withstand all the rough-and-tumble that comes its way - it also has to be a bag that they won’t get bored of carrying throughout the year.
IBS Truths
IBS Truths
IBS crept up on me so gradually that for the first year or so I didn't realise there was anything wrong. I'd simply ignored and dismissed the symptoms - I'd even resigned myself to accepting that I will probably have digestive problems for the rest my life, they were mild, annoying, and uncomfortable, but I just didn't have the time to go to the doctors for what I thought was something I could live with. I tried to put it to the back of my mind.

Dinosaurs In The Wild Review
We visited Dinosaurs In The Wild at the Greenwich Peninsula.
The first part of the tour you are given an introduction and safety check. You then board on to the time machine, where you are taken back in time! The blinds go up and you find yourselves "back in time" with dinosaurs outside grazing - as we took a bumpy ride to the base, we got to see different types of dinosaurs.

Celebrating Friendship With Baby Annabell Review
Making friends is fun and keeping friends can be a journey.
Children have much to learn about sharing toys, sharing play and sharing ideas. It takes time for children to begin to see things from someone else's point of view, and to learn how to manage all those complicated feelings. But when they do and they make friends, watching that friendship grow is a beautiful thing.
Inverness The Dairy at Daviot Cottages Holiday Review
Last week I finally got to visit my dream location, Inverness, the Highlands. I'd not been this excited about going on a holiday in a long time, and what surprised me, was how excited the kids were too - even the pending 9-hour drive didn't deter their excitement - they couldn't wait to see the mountains and visit the Loch Ness.
Review: Ziito Double Clothes Rail
I was excited to receive the Ziito Double Clothes Rail for review. It arrives in a long box, "Flat packed"; each pipe ready to be screwed together - the Allen key was included. It was very easy to put together. I built it myself as I was too excited to wait for hubby to come home, and it took me approx 10-minutes. As soon as it was up, I loved it.
How to Choose a Sleeping Bag
How to Choose a Sleeping Bag
We went on our first family camping trip a few weeks ago, it was so much more than we expected. We all caught the camping bug and are already planning for our next trip.
We just about got all the basics for our first camping trip, apart from one sleeping bag as we wanted the right type and it wasn't available. Everyone had a sleeping bag bar one, but it was not a major issue as we took quilts instead and it was a really warm few days, so it worked out well. However, we definitely need to get one more for our future camping trips.
My Son has Lymes Disease
I spotted it as soon as he walked down the steps coming out of his class room.
I was picking him up at the end of school, when he came jumping down the steps like he normally does, with a big smile on his face, not a worry in the world. I instantly spotted the red bullseye rash on the side of his neck. I knew instantly what it was.
Screechers Wild Review

Project Mc2 5 A.D.I.S.N. Secret Journal Review
Summer adores Project Mc2, she watches it on Netflix and has many of the Project Mc2 toys, including quite a few dolls.
Project Mc2 is all about encouraging STEM, particularly for girls. The Netflix series is a group of super cool friends who go to school together and are in a secret club. Adrienne Attoms, Bryden Bandweth, Camryn Coyle, Devon D'Marco and Ember Evergreen and McKeyla McAlister, all love to celebrate and share their love of science.
Ravensburger FIFA World Cup 3D Puzzle Balls Review
We're really enjoying the World Cup in this house. My oldest son is watching all the matches he can, most afternoons when he is not at work and nearly every evening we have a match on - there is currently a match on in the background as I write this post. Although my youngest son likes to try and keep up with the World Cup, he quickly loses interest and so to keep home and I occupied we've been doing different activities, one of which completing three FIFA World Cup 3D Puzzle Balls.
Treads School Shoes Review
Out of my 4 children, Lewis is the worse for getting through school shoes (I'm not sure what he does to them - but we've already been through three pairs this year). So when we were approached to review a pair of Treads, I choose Lewis to try them out; especially as they are a new indestructible boys' school shoe, with a 12-month guarantee - perfect.

How to explain an absent parent and what I learnt
When we think about motherhood, the first words that comes to mind are unconditional love and protection. This rings true for me as a mother, but not just to my boys who I gave birth to, but also to my little girl whom I may not have given birth to, but I am her parent.
It's normal that Summer has questions about why her birth parents do not come visit her anymore,
My First Father's Day Without My Father
Sunday was Father's Day, the first Father's Day in my 39-years without my father.
There was no card to buy him, no gift, no visit to see him, no embrace, no kiss from him... nothing.
I have memories, lots of memories, good memories, but these memories are still coupled with the raw grief of losing him, bringing on immense sadness, aching, pain.
