This review is based on my experience of using the Vax PowerWash 2200W Complete. Although this model may no longer be the newest available, many people still search for reviews before buying a second-hand model or comparing similar pressure washers.

My First Impressions

A pressure washer had been on my wish list for years.

Until this point, I’d always borrowed my dad’s whenever I needed to freshen up the patio or driveway, so I was delighted when Vax asked me to review the Vax PowerWash 2200W Complete.

As fate would have it, our outdoor tap had been disconnected while we were having building work done, meaning I couldn’t test it at home straight away. Rather than waiting, I took it to my parents’ house to give it a proper trial on their patio and decking.

Easy to Assemble and Simple to Use

One of the first things I noticed was how straightforward it was to put together.

The instructions were clear, assembly took very little time, and it felt sturdy without being too heavy to move around the garden.

Even if you’ve never used a pressure washer before, you’ll soon get the hang of it.

Putting It to the Test

We decided to tackle my parents’ patio and wooden decking, both of which had built up plenty of dirt, algae and general grime over time.

The difference was impressive.

The powerful jet quickly lifted away stubborn dirt and surface mould, revealing much cleaner paving underneath with very little effort. Watching years of grime disappear is surprisingly satisfying!

What I Liked

One Small Improvement

The only thing I felt was missing was somewhere to store all of the accessories.

With several nozzles and attachments included, an integrated storage system or clips on the machine would have helped keep everything together between uses.

It’s only a small criticism, but it would make storing the pressure washer much more convenient.

Is the Vax PowerWash 2200W Worth It?

Overall, I was genuinely impressed.

It was powerful, easy to use and made light work of cleaning outdoor surfaces. Whether you’re refreshing your patio after winter, cleaning decking before summer or washing the car, it offers plenty of cleaning power for everyday household jobs.

If you can find the Vax PowerWash 2200W Complete second-hand or you’re comparing it with newer Vax models, I think it’s still a solid choice for anyone looking for a reliable pressure washer.

Final Thoughts

This was my first experience of owning a pressure washer, and after seeing how quickly it transformed my parents’ patio, I couldn’t wait to start using it at home too.
