The Zodiac Legacy by Stan Lee
Zodiac Legacy is by the one and only Stan Lee, who has teamed up with Stuart Moore, and Andie Tong (illustrator). And, it is a really good read - a book that I myself enjoyed reading (as a Stan Lee fan) and one my son enjoyed as well - he was pleasantly surprised by it.
So what is the story about:
Steven an ordinary kid who is on a once in lifetime school trip to Hong Kong. When visiting a Chinese heritage museum, he slips away from the rest of the group, as he follows a museum guide that caught his attention, down into the basement. Steven and the guide, Jasmine then witness Maxwell unleash the power of the Zodiac into the world. Steven is hit and infused with the power of their Zodiac Tiger sign while trying to stop Maxwell from hatching his evil plan, and unfortunately, other additional rogue Zodiac powers were released into the numerous other people around the planet. Now Steven, Jasmine, and Jasmine's friends must join forces to track down the people infused by the rogue Zodiac powers before Maxwell and his group of goons find them first.
Zodiac Legacy kicks off with the action from the start to the very end and it leaves you with a promise there is more to come. Which is a relief, as we can't wait to find out what happens to the crew: Steven, Jasmine, Carlos, Roxanne, Liam, Duane, and Kim, and of course, not forgetting Maxwell and his goons in the next installment.
Conclusion:
This is a great book for all tweens, teens and adults, where each page is omplemented with illustrations to visualize the part of the story you are at. This book, once started is a hard one to put turn, it is a page turner, that keeps you on the edge of your seat, and when you come to the end, you want more.
Reading Zodiac Legacy is a fun experience, one that didn't disappoint.
