Pet Parade Mum and Baby Set Review
Pet Parade Mum and Baby Set Review
Summer had seen the Pet Parade adverts and already asked for the little toy pets for Christmas, so they were excited when a set arrived for us to review.
This was our first experience of Pet Parade, and I was pleased to see that the toys lived up to their excitement. The small animals were very cute, but it was the way they moved and connected that made them fun to play with.
What Came With Our Pet Parade Set
I received the Pet Parade Mum and Baby set, which included the mum, a smaller baby, a lead and a tiny dummy for the baby.
I liked that there were two pets to play with together. The little dummy was a sweet addition, and the set gave Summer a starting point for the collection they had been hoping for.
How the Pets Connected and Moved
The lead attached magnetically to the collar on either pet. Their mouths could also connect to each other’s tails, allowing Summer to link them together and pull them along.
I found the idea simple but enjoyable. As the pets moved, their little legs moved too, making them look as though they were walking.
Summer could lead them around together, which was a big part of the appeal. It brought some movement to the toys without needing batteries.
The Interactive Features
I also liked the small movements built into the pets. Moving the tail made the head move, and pressing the button on the back of the mum or baby moved their head too.
Those details gave Summer more to explore than simply pulling the animals along. I could see why the toys had caught their attention in the adverts, and it was lovely to watch them enjoying their own set.
What Summer Thought of Pet Parade
Summer was not disappointed with their first Pet Parade pets. They enjoyed them so much that they started taking them everywhere.
For me, that said more than their initial excitement when the set arrived. These were toys they wanted to keep close and return to, rather than something they played with briefly and put aside.
At the time, there were other Pet Parade animals and sets to collect. Seeing how much Summer enjoyed the mum and baby made me plan to buy more for Christmas so they could build up their collection.
My Overall Thoughts
I found the Pet Parade Mum and Baby set a lovely little toy for Summer. The magnetic connections were straightforward, the walking movements were cute, and I appreciated that no batteries were needed.
At the time of my original review, the set retailed at £9.99 and was marketed for children aged four to eight. Those details reflect the original product information, rather than current pricing or availability.
I received this Pet Parade set for review. These are my own thoughts, based on my experience of watching Summer play with it.
