Mountain Warehouse Steve Backshall Collection
2016 for us as a family was about discovering our newly found love of the outdoors. We've never been an outdoors family, and we would avoid it in cold or wet weather. But that changed last year! Now, we love the outdoors and every weekend we make sure we get outside, taking the kids and the dogs. Thus, with the cold months, we need good outdoor gear, to keep us dry and warm. So when Mountain Warehouse invited us to review some items from their Steve Backshall range, we were super excited.
Mountain Warehouse have teamed up with Steve Backshall to create an exciting new range of outdoor gear exclusively for children.
Jacob's choice was the Sherpa Youth Jacket, which would be perfect for keeping him warm and dry for our weekend walks. And, he also chose the Youth Wolf Hoody, which he says is well cool - with the picture of the howling wolf, it's his favourite jumper to wear.
The Sherpa Youth Jacket is fully waterproofed with taped seams and a detachable hood. There’s a fleece lining and added insulation for warmth. There’s also elastic on the sleeves, so rain doesn’t run up the arms. The Wolf Youth Hoodie has a warm brushed fleece lining, made of 60% Cotton and 40% Polyester with a high-quality print. It's a nice lightweight jumper, not too bulky like hoodies can be. Comfortable to wear. Jacob loves both items.
Both items are really nicely made, good quality, and in terms of sizing, they do come up small. I'm glad I ordered the next size up.
The Steve Backshall collection offers a great range for kids that love the outdoors. There's walking shoes, fleeces and tees, and day packs. It's worth hoping over to the Mountain Warehouse website and having a look.

Here, we're visiting the Lound Lakes, one of our favourite places to visit for a walk.
We're looking forward to lots more weekend walks this year - we even talking about booking a cottage one weekend to take the kids to the Brecon Beacons.
