Month in review: May

This is super late, but that is because I have been super busy with work these past couple of weeks.

Some facts on the month of May: The month of May is the fifth month of the year and one of the seven months with 31 days in it.
May is a month of spring in the Northern Hemisphere (Summer in Europe) autumn in the Southern Hemisphere opposite to that, autumn in the Southern Hemisphere.
No other month begins or ends on the same day of the week as May in any year.

May's birthstone is the emerald which is symbolic of love and success. The May birth flower is the Lily of the Valley and the Crataegus monogyna.   The zodiac signs for the month of May are Taurus (until May 20) and Gemini (May 21 onwards).

So what has been happening for us in May:

Lewis had his SATs, which typically Lewis laid back as ever took it all in his stride, but also he wanted to do the best he could and he did, I was really very pleased with him - I think I was more nervous about him being stressed out with them, than he was actually.

We went to the circus for the first time in about 10 years, Liam and Lewis didn't want to come, and Summer we knew wouldn't sit still, so Paul and I took Jacob and my two nephews - It was really good and we all enjoyed it. The circus sets up tent on the green next to the beach - it is a lovely setting.

We had our first BBQ of the year, Paul's mum, aunt and his brother came around, and we had a pleasant day.

Sister in law, husband and their three girls came home back to UK! They moved out to Western Australia last February, gave the Aussie life a good go, but in the end came home to us. We missed them likely crazy so it was really good to get them home, however we were of course disappointed for them that it didn't work out in Aussie.  Things were soon back to normal, apart from the kids have got bigger. :)  We chatted and caught up and it was like they were never gone.

As a family we had some lovely days out together, we went to Easton Park Farm, fed sheep, pigs etc.. We also spent some nice days out at local parks - enjoying the sun when we can.

Overall a great month.
