Carddies - Sport Set Reviews
We were recently sent Carddies Sports to review.
Carddies is an award-winning little art box with a theme, of encouraging creativity, pretend play, imagination and story-telling.. Designed and hand-drawn by two mothers who began creating them one dull, rainy day for their bored children. Carddies sets contain hand-drawn, card people which can be coloured in and played with.
The box includes
12 hand-drawn sporty-looking characters on thick white cards (You give each character a name)- and you colour them in on both the front and back. Also included is a hand-drawn sporty cardboard background scene, an array of coloured pencils to bring your Carddies and background card to life, and 12 plastic stands to stand your characters in.
It starts as being colouring fun but soon turns into a competitive scene where sports people play games - like football or rugby - the set allows the kids to use their imagination and continue the fun - and once finished playing with them, they pop them back into the box.
I knew these would be a hit, both Summer and Jacob enjoyed colouring the bits together, creating their own sports team standing their players up etc.

On the back of the scene card is an index for each character where you can name each one.
We named each character.
Both Summer and Jacob coloured in the characters - front and back. Each character played an individual sport, from swimming, to rowing, to football.
