LED Hut Garden Challenge

I was invited to take part of the blogger challenge of revamping the garden in summer with some exciting pieces from LEDHut.  We're currently having an extension built and renovations being done on our home, which is exciting, but at the same time, means our poor garden has suffered. It has effectively become a building yard. The decking has suffered massively, the grass is dead, the garden is scattered with bits of plaster, bricks etc. 

With all this going on it does mean we haven't been able to enjoy the garden this summer. We've not had any BBQs like we normally do, and the kids haven't been able to play freely in the garden. The only place they have been able to play safely is on is the decking.

So when I was invited to revamp the garden with LED lights to brighten it up, I instantly knew what I wanted to do. I wanted two lights either side of the patio doors, along with some lights around my table parasol, so we can sit in the garden in the evening during the summer and early autumn and enjoy our little area of the garden that is currently accessible to us, the decking.

The above photo shows the weathered decking, and the abuse it has taken whilst the extension was built.  Once the building work is finished, we plan to extend the decking and bring it around the front of the extension, and of course, clean and paint it with a fresh new coat.

We fixed the Fumagalli Vintage Outdoor Lantern lights on either side of the patio doors. They were easy enough to fix to the wall, but we did have to pay an electrician to install and wire them up. 

We are really pleased with our new garden lights. They give a nice soft light over the decking and they certainly brighten up the area.  

I'm looking forward to completing the building work, so we can move onto refreshing our garden and next year we will be back to enjoying lots of BBQs with our new garden lights.
