Review: Insect Shield® Soft Walled Dog Bed

I was looking for a new dog bed when UK pet-bed specialists Scruffs® www.petslovescruffs.com  contacted me and offered to send Poppy and Kiwi the new Insect Shield Soft Walled Dog Bed.

The first thing I noticed was that the dog bed is made with Insect Shield® technology. This technology provides effective, invisible, and odourless protection against little pests like mosquitoes, fleas, ticks, and flies. It is used by more than 50 brands worldwide across various industries. This positive first impression is important to me because I want the best for my girls, and this dog bed helps in the battle to keep those nasty pests away.

The dog bed is made with a fixed centre cushion and integral 100% recycled hollow-fibre fill, this provides greater cushioning characteristics and enhanced durability. I prefer the fixed centre cushion, my past few dog beds have been removable centres which means lots of bits get 'buried' in the dog bed, i.e. more mess. So I prefer the fixed centre cushion - easier to keep cleaner.

The Insect Shield Soft-Walled Dog Bed is excellent. It is well-made, and our dogs adore it. We received the XL size, which provides more than enough room for both of them to cuddle up in.

Kiwi claimed the new dog bed right away. Poppy kept to her old bed for a couple of days, but I think she missed the cuddles and they now cuddle up in their new dog bed together.

I vacuum it easily and also use a lint roller, but because of the warmer weather, they are shedding a lot at the moment. It's reassuring to know that the dog bed is made with lightweight and breathable fabric. It helps to keep them cool during the hot days.
