GEOMAG Review
We were sent a bundle of Geomag sets to try out and review!
STEM toys in our household are a favourite, they offer challenging, interesting, motivating and inspiring play and are lots of fun! And, GEOMAG constructions toy offer all of these things and more, including being made with recycled plastic.
GEOMAG is a magnetic construction and creative toy range that can be put together and pulled apart again in a huge number of ways. Kids can choose to copy the model examples or design their own unique constructions, allowing for creative and educational play.
Most sets includes magnetic rods in various colours, non-magnetic metal balls (spheres) and various accessories. Each rod has a magnetic each end, If you try to connect rods and bring two opposing magnetic poles together (north:south) they will connect. You can also create a (weaker) magnetic connection with the the middle of a rod.
The three sets we received are:
-Geomag Glitter Panels, include colourful pieces that are glittery! 35 Pieces Magnetic Construction Set with storage boxes. The Glitter rods in bright colours and spheres offer hours of colour play. Glitter always attracts the kids, it’s great fun and visually appealing.
-The Supercolour 60 set rods and spheres, and also includes storage boxes where the rods and spheres fit nicely for perfect storage. The set offers you the more traditional GEOMAG range, full of brightly coloured rods, and plenty of pieces to allow your child to play, discover and be creative.
-Geomag - Mechanics Gravity Loops & Turns - Set of 130 Pieces. Build a circuit driven by the invisible forces of magnetism and gravity. The magnetic cannon uses the force of attraction to accelerate and push the spheres. The movement is generated without the use of electric motors or batteries
Also, the construction sets from the range can be combined with the "Easy Combo" system allowing you to build different models and connect them within just 3 moves.
The Mechanics Gravity set, this was Summer’s favourite, she loved putting it together, her only complaint was that the instructions booklet did not have any words, just pictures, and this really frustrated her as she wanted to be able to read each step of the instructions. However, she built it and was rather proud of herself.
GEOMAG’s award-winning toys are STEM-certified as well as being Good Toy Guide accredited. Suitable for children aged 8 years plus. GEOMAG offers years of educational, fun, and interactive play.
