Falling Back In Love With Wearing Jewellery
During my early adults years and pre-kids time, I loved to wear Jewellery; rings, earrings, necklaces, however, for the past 20 years I’ve only really worn my wedding ring, and pulled out jewellery box for occasions and/or when attending a special event. I really didn’t bother with jewellery for many years. Until recently…
I’m quickly getting everso closer to mid 40s, and with being peri menopause , I’ve been feeling a bit lost with myself over the past year (the Covid lockdowns didn’t help either). Thus, I’ve actively looked at ways to make small changes to help improve my mental health, with the aim to cheer my peri-menopause self up. Simple changes to make me feel a better about myself, and wearing jewellery was something I was really keen to get back into.
My hubby was supportive of this and gifted me earrings for Birthday and Christmas. Eversince I’ve been wearing earrings nearly every day, and I’ve felt great about it. Additionally, more recently I’ve promised myself to wear necklaces more often, and to wear rings on my other fingers (rather than just my wedding ring).
When I was approached by Daisy Jewellery to review some pieces, I was not only very excited, I instantly feel in love with what I was seeing on their website. They offer the perfect Spring re-fresh jewellery pieces.
I had to choose 4 items, so I opted for 2 Necklaces and 2 rings. As it is spring and with summer on the way, I felt the Daisy theme pieces would be perfect, joyful and pretty pieces to wear. And, I love the idea of stacking rings, and stacking necklaces.
I ordered:
Daisy Bloom Crown Band Ring 18ct Gold Plate
Iota Daisy Ring 18ct Gold Plate
Three English Daisy Chain Necklace
English Daisy Necklace 18ct Gold Plate
I wore my all 4 pieces for my Sister’s wedding at the weekend, but I’ve also been wearing the pieces during the day, when going shopping or meeting with friends and family. I am thoroughly enjoying wearing the extra pieces of Jewellery, it gives me pleasure, and I think I am getting hooked, as I now want a second piecing in each ear…. Even a third or fourth… Oh, and another necklace I’ve seen on the Daisy Jewellery website (the Palm Leaf Bobble Chain Necklace 18ct Gold Plate).
Wearing jewellery is a means of expressing ourselves and gives a boost in self-esteem. It the accessory to enhance oneself.
It feels great when receiving a piece of jewellery as a gift, but is just as great as purchasing a piece for yourself - the perfect treat.
