The Dinosaur that Pooped review and giveaway
The Dinosaur That Pooped... are three books, written by Dougie Poynter (yes, the boys from McFly). The stories are about a little boy and his hungry dinosaur, with lots of poo.. They sound a little silly, they are positively a little silly, and they are tons of fun.
There are three books in the dino series:
- The Dinosaur that Pooped Christmas - Danny wants everything for Christmas. But what he gets is a dinosaur, a very hungry dinosaur. Danny's new dino eats up all of Christmas, but as we all know, what goes in must come out . . .
- The Dinosaur that Pooped a Planet - Danny and Dinosaur are back, and this time they are going to space! But when Danny realises he's forgotten Dino's lunch box, the very hungry dinosaur eats everything in sight, including their only way home: the rocket!
- The Dinosaur that Pooped the Past - When they accidentally go back through history on a time-travelling swing, Danny and Dinosaur meet some new dino friends. But soon there's a rumbling noise; it's a volcano about to erupt! Can Dinosaur save the day by pooping them back to the future?
The rhymes are fantastic and each story flows very well. I did find myself laughing (out loud) and giggling when reading it to Jacob, and Jacob giggled away - he thought each story was hilarious! They each have great illustrations, which add more enjoyment and offer more engagement with the books; Jacob pointing to the pictures (of poo) laughing his head-off.
Whether you are a McFly fan, or not, a kid or an adult, these books are great fun, and offer lots of laughter.
