Symprove - a solution for Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)

I am going to start my review off by saying, Symprove is amazing!

Before Symprove I had long come to the conclusion that I was simply going to have to live with IBS, until one day I was offered to trial Symprove, a 12 week programme, and I haven't looked back since. I started to notice a difference roughly 3 weeks in, and I noticed it started to make me more relaxed, this is because it took the pain and worry of eating a trigger food away, and further into the programme it got better and better.

Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) for me, causes sharp abdominal pains, lots of bloating and constipation. There are certain foods/drinks I avoid like the black plague to protect myself from a flare up, and I am still going through the elimination process (its an ongoing thing) always trying to work out what else sets my IBS off.  The doctor prescribes me Buscopan for the pain, but once I have a flare-up, even taking Buscopan,  won't always relieve me. But that all changed and after 12 weeks of taking Symprove I have found it has enabled me to live my life almost symptom-free and I feel great.

What is Symprove? It is a mango & passion fruit drink supplement that delivers live, active multi-strains of bacteria to the gut - just where they are needed. It’s unique to anything else out there, due to its Unique Delivery System (UDS), and this special delivery system protects the bacteria from the gastric juices in the digestive tract, where they quickly reach targeted areas of the gut and colonise.

Features:

  • Live, ready-to-work, multi-strain beneficial bacteria.

  • Non-dairy and gluten-free.

  • Unique Delivery System (UDS) - designed to ensure bacteria quickly reach targeted areas of the gut.

  • Non-dairy, and gluten free.

  • Water-based fruit flavoured drink.

  • Gentle on the gut

Over the 12 weeks I took it every morning before breakfast and it’s been fantastic; no more pain, far less bloating and my constipation has eased.  I am so relieved to have found something that actually works and lets me get on with my day uninterrupted.

Scientists at University College London (UCL) independently conducted one of the first studies comparing some of the most popular probiotic brands available in the UK, to test which products are likely to actually survive and thrive in the gut environment. The study used representative in-vitro test systems that allow understanding of the various factors that must be controlled to give the greatest chance of delivery of live, healthy bacteria to the lower gut.

Many popular probiotics do not deliver what they promise and are simply not robust enough for the human GI tract. Only one product met all three challenges (Symprove) – with several popular products failing all three challenges.
