Review: Wyld Wood Premium Organic Cider
Introduction: Weston's have been producing quality cider for over a century and to date it remains an independent, family run/owned company, and one of their ciders they produce is Wyld Wood cider which is made by using organic cider apples and matured in old oak vats which results in an easy to drink cider with a ripe apple aroma. Weston's are also a multi-award winner and gold medal international cider challenge 2013 winner. They re-branded the cider b ack in September 2011 to emphasis its organic and rural origin. They wanted to refresh the brand so consumers feel more connected with the simple, natural beauty of its origin.
Wyld Wood Cider are delighted to be the official cider of Jamie Oliver and Alex James’ Big Festival, the family-friendly foodie and musical festival for 15,000 in the Cotswolds, for the second year running (29th August - 31st August). The Wyld Wood Cider Bar is located within a cool tepee which will once again be centrally located www.jamieoliver.com/
For this review we were sent a pack of bottles and 4 boxes to try out of the Organic cider flavour, which is also available is Classic Pear flavour.
Experience: When we first got it I hadn't reaslied it was a still cider, and when hubby told me, I was like, hhhm not sure if I would like that, but after having a glass with some ice, it soon changed my mind; it is very moorish to drink and just tastes lovely. It is a dry cider but with a sweetness there too, and at 6% it is relatively strong.
Conclusion: Wyle Wood cider is nice and refreshing, but with a kick and it has renewed my love for cider, and my dad's - we gave him one box to take home and try, but he loved it so much so, he raved about it, and he asked for another box.
The boxes are ideal to keep in the fridge, and using the tap on the side of the box makes it so much easier to pour yourself a nice cool glass of cider.
You can even cook with Wyld Wood cider – it’s a delicious and great addition to any meal! www.westons-cider.co.uk/
