Review: #RealMumsAllBran 5-Day Challenge

Did you know that 9 out of 10 woman eat less fiber than recommended, unfortunately I am one of those and have suffered the consequences over the years, not so much now as I learnt the hard way, but going back 10 plus years I had a bad digestive system which caused me all sorts off problems and since then I have actively tried to eat more fiber, though I keep on top of it most of the time, there have been periods where I let it slip and those old issues quickly start to creep back into my life.

I joined in with the All-Bran 5 Day challenge recently and I not only enjoyed the cereals, but I am also enjoying the benefits. Being a super busy mum/nanny/colleague I often skip breakfast, which we all know is not good; as the old adage goes 'Breakfast is the most important meal of the day'. I skip breakfast because I just don't have enough time to eat, or sometimes I just don't fancy eating. However I do rely on breakfast being the main source for my daily fiber, otherwise I fall within the stats above and miss reaching the recommend daily fiber intake per day - this I am actively working on changing by making sure to eat breakfast everyday. So this was a great challenge for me to get into, one that I hope to continue.

For this challenge we got to try out three flavours from the All-Bran range:

Golden Crunch - These were really nice, with tiny little gold crunch balls mixed in amongst the bran was a pleasant surprise.
Red Berry Crunch - Normally I avoid cereals like this, as I am not too keen on dried fruit, however they were quite tasty, and not too sweet.
Chocolate Wheats - These were yummy, Jacob liked these also, with the little pillow and an extra chocolaty surprise in the middle. The chocolate wheats were definitely the favourite out of the 3.

I tried the All-Bran chocolate wheats first for 5 consecutive days, and carried on with the other flavours.  I did see slight positive results in my well being and tummy, especially a good working digestive system, and less bloating. For me my digestive system is very reactive to my diet, i.e. if I lay off fiber after a few days I quickly start to see digestive issues, i.e bloating and not going to the toilet regularly, so it is important for me to try and maintain fiber within my daily diet, and with these yummy All-Bran I can achieve that. Why don't you give the 5-Day Challenge a try!
