Review: Klorane Shampoo with Nettle
I have really thick hair, and unfortunately I do have to wash it often otherwise it become limp and especially around my roots and more so my fringe it becomes oily. So when I was asked to review Klorane Shampoo with Nettle for oily hair, I jumped at the chance. The first thing I noticed was the divine smell: Nettle, it reminded me of my childhood when we used to build dens in the woods.
I found this shampoo was very gentle (watery liquid), but effective to use. It is designed to give you more time between washes, working to control the amount of oil/sebum your scalp produces, absorbing any excess sebum found in the hair, and it does this by slowing down the sebum spread throughout, keeping it cleaner and fresher looking for longer. It is hypo-allergenic and paraben free. The main ingredient is a nettle extract: scopoletine, which does all the clever work. I have been using Klorane
for over a week now, and without any other branded conditioner, as I wanted to get the full experience and advantage of solely using Klorane and it has truly paid off. Normally when I don't use conditioner my hair would be very knotty, but I have not had that at all whilst using Klorane Shampoo, the other thing I noticed was how clean, silky and healthy my hair has become, and my oily fringe is not so oily anymore.
Klorane has given my hair a new lease of life, and I love using it, so much so that I am going to order some more along with the Klorane conditioner. Based on what the Shampoo has done to my hair alone, using it with the Klorane conditioner is going to hopefully bring even more advantage to my hair.
Oily hair is directly related to the overproduction of sebum, a waxy type of substance naturally occurring in the body which is designed to keep hair supple, soft and waterproof. Sebum is produced by the sebaceous glands.
Oily hair happens when the sebaceous glands on the scalp become over-active. This means that the glands produce too much oil.
