Review: Lyclear head lice treatment

Unfortunately with 4 children it is inevitable that we will experience head lice within the family at least once a year, and on their very first day back to school this term, the boys came home with an alert letter for head lice... I checked my kid's hair but luckily I didn't spot any lice or eggs. Then the following week, again they were sent home with another letter, but this time the next day when I dropped the boys off at school, on the entrance they had a whiteboard propped outside the door with a notice scribbled that head lice where going around. It really is never ending.

We also received text messages from the school alerting us each and every time head lice were spotted and in what key stage group. Which is really proactive of the school to do this, and they are clearly trying to keep on top of it, and I appreciate there efforts.

Then the day came when I noticed one of my children scratching their head, and I found head lice. So I quickly began the task of getting rid of the head lice! The first thing I did was strip all the beds, wash all the sheets and pillow cases (on a hot wash), and not forgetting all the towels. I then hair washed the children and myself using Lyclear and afterwards I combed through each of our hair with the nit comb, which was included in the shampoo. I redid the treatment a week later.  We are now a head lice free zone (but for how long, who knows?). We used the Lyclear treatment shampoo 200ml. The bottle can do up to 8 applications depending on the length of the hair, and it can be used on adults and children over 2 years old.

The nit comb was a nice sturdy one, I could even get it through my very thick hair.

This is the first time we have used Lyclear, we have always used other brands in the past, and I was pleased with the ease of using and applying it, the fragrance was light and pleasant and you only have to leave it in the hair for 10 minutes.

Lyclear is clinically proven to kill 100% of head lice after the second treatment. It has a unique double action formula which suffocates and dehydrates head lice and their eggs. In addition it is also free from insecticides, which gives it the advantage over the head lice by stopping them becoming resistance to the Lyclear ingredients.
