We love puzzles, whether it be a physical puzzle or one that can be played on a portable device. Puzzles on portable devices have become more and more popular in recent years, they are easily accessible, fun, less mess, and the services can offer a good array of different puzzles.

There are many apps available that allow your child to choose from a wide range of puzzle games specifically designed for kids - we've downloaded many over the past couple of years. Jacob and Summer both especially enjoy the challenge of a puzzle and it keeps them entertained for hours - perfect for road trips etc. as well as encouraging logic, spatial orientation, and creative skills.

Recently we've been trying an Android app, Puzzle Games for Kids, which kept the kids occupied on our long journey to Longleat and back last week.

We found the app is of a simple design, easy for they kids to pick up and play, it is bold and colourful and has some fun puzzles to complete.  Overall, it was a hit with the kids.

The app is designed for pre-school children, it allows them to choose from the variety of puzzles their favourite animal or cartoon character etc.. They learn and play while putting together different puzzles pieces which includes: Sly spider, Tiny Mouse, White Bunny, Frank the Dog, Alfred the Color Switcher, Orange Blob, The Colourful Cloud and many more..

And, it is free.
