My First Bananagrams
My First Bananagrams is like Scrabble but without the board. This version of the Bananagrams game is designed for younger kids and packed in a green fabric banana shaped bag, it's a lovely playful learning tool. The game has and encourages lowercase letters and word-building, combo-letter tiles to help your child enjoy wordplay and word games.
There are different ways to use My First Banagrams with games and activities
The set includes 80 lower-case letters and 13 dual-letter combo tiles that can be used to play different multiple activities and minigames. For the game the rules are simple: each player starts off with 15 letters, which they use to build their own 'crossword'. When a player has used all of their letters in their crossword, they call out 'Bananas' and they win (as long as all the words they created are spelt correctly, otherwise you resume play.
In the instructions are mini games too, which were perfect for Summer to play:
Preschool - Spell your Name / abc's in order / Letter Match
Early Reader - Sound it Out / Word Families / Rhyme Time
And for the more advance, which was perfect for Jacob:
Reader - Vowel Power / Diggity Diagraph / Criss-Cross.
I knew the kids would love My Frist Bananagrams, and Summer especially, she's just started reception class and learning all her letters/phonics etc. thus, she has embraced playing with this enthusiastically.
This game offers hours of fun learning, and will be much loved by little ones. Great for a gift too.
