London Tower Bridge - Family Trail App
We were invited to take the family to visit the London Tower Bridge, to give the Trail app a try.
The Family Trail app is an app designed to complement your visit to the London Tower Bridge. It gives you an interactive experience allowing you a chance to explore the bridge and its workings in a unique and fun way. The app has an educational angle so you can learn lots of interesting facts and history about the bridge.
You follow the trail on the app, around the Tower, across the glass-bottomed East walkway, then the West Walkway and down in the engine rooms. During the trail, there are lots of interactive facts, games and more.
Thus, along the way, you can play games, such as Stoke the Boiler game, eye-spy and a jigsaw puzzle game where you have to drag and drop shapes into the correct place.
The app is great because it encourages the kids to learn, to ask questions, to interact more with the experience of the museum. It adds value to your visit.
The Tower Bridge Family Trail app is available for download on iOs and Android devices for free from app stores and the Tower Bridge website.
Summer and I were the only two that went fully on to the glass and appreciated the view. Lewis, Jacob and hubby were not too keen to go onto the glass bridge.
The engine rooms were really interesting - you get to see the original steam boilers and the huge water tanks that were used as weights and counter balance to aid the opening and closing of the bridge.
The kids turning the miniature model and opening the bridge.
The app gave some really interesting and educational facts.
There are plenty of games to play through the trail, keeping the kids entertained and interested.
