Shake That Weight

There are many diet plans on the market, all of which promise to shred those pounds off your body, but do they work? II’ve tried a few different ones, from Diet Chef to SlimFast and now Shake That Weight. They contacted me to review their 2-week Very Low-Calorie Diet (VLCD), which I was keen to give it a go.

In the pack includes 14 breakfast products, 14 for lunch and 14 for mid-afternoon. You get to pick and choose different flavoured shakes, bars, soups, noodles and porridges.

So what is the VLCD diet?

VLCD is a diet with very low daily food energy consumption. It is defined as a diet of 800 kilocalories per day or less. VLCDs are formulated, nutritionally complete, liquid meals containing 800 kilocalories or less per day. VLCDs also contain the recommended daily requirements for vitamins, minerals, trace elements, fatty acids, and protein.

My conclusion on Shake That Weight VLCD diet.

I've tried the plan over the two weeks,  making sure to stick to cooking a low-calorie evening meal, and so far so good. I did lose a couple of pounds and overall I felt positive about the experience.

My experience:

Bars - nice, smaller than expecting, but then it is a low-calorie diet. They taste very nice. Available flavours: Lemon Bar (Yoghurt Coated), Honey Nougat Bar, Dark Chocolate Bar, Muesli Bar (White Choc Coated) and Milk Chocolate Bar.

Porridge - I love porridge anyhow and Shake That Weights porridge was as expected, pleasant.

Noddles - At first I wasn't sure if I liked the noodles or not, they have a slightly different texture than any other packet noodle, but after a few days I started to enjoy them - they are full of flavour, it was just the texture that took some getting used too.

Soup - I'm not a fan of soups, but I do enjoy tomato soup, and ordered just the one from Shake That Weight, which was pleasant and I enjoyed it.   They have a good range of different flavours.

Shakes - I'll be completely honest and say these are not my favourite out of all the different brands I've tried, but, they are drinkable.

Overall, a positive experience, and I would buy and complete further meal plans with Shake That Weight. Very easy to follow, fast delivery and tasty products. In addition, they are one of the cheapest options out there, very reasonably priced, and for the quality great value for money.
