Talk to Mums Event

Last week we headed to London to the latest Talk to Mums bloggers event. Super excited to meet other bloggers and to network with exciting brands. The kids were especially excited as they were going to meet Lloyd Warby from Disney's Art Attack, who was hosting the day.

They had a few talks throughout the day, I attended a really insightful talk with Amanda Gummer, author of the book “PLAY" which she gave some key point and great tips for making play fun. A 2nd talk was with the lovely Lucy Gill, Director of Apps and Technology for Good App Guide, where she gave great advice on choosing the right app and explained how better to understand internet safety.

Whilst I was in the talks hubby took the kids to all the fun filled children activities, their favourite was Crystal Ski Holiday's snow filled room - where they spent most of the day.  They also played in the fun packed family playtime room which was tons of fun. But the highlight of the day, was with Lloyd Warby where he run a live craft workshop! Jacob made a Halloween Lantern - Lloyd was as great in person as he is on TV, great with the kids - they loved him.

Throughout the day we mingled and meet some great brands, got to experience, new flavours, new toys, and new gadgets:

First we got to meet Tractor Ted and play a game to win some small tractor's - Jacob had to chuck-a-chicken and if he got it in the urn he won - he won one for Summer and one for himself.

We got to meet the guys from Kinnterton's and see their amazing Advent Calendars, Chocolate Lollipops and Chocolate Bars, which are all made with 'nut free' ingredients. And, new for this Christmas is, Light up Star Wars and Frozen chocolate advent calendars - which are loads of fun (and yummy).

We meet the lovely Homesense guys where they had 'guess' the reindeer price, we came in close, our guess was £35. Isn't it a stunning Christmas decoration though? and really quite cheap.

Then Jacob joined in one the  live craft workshop ran by the lovely Lloyd Warby himself. It was really excellent, Jacob enjoyed it thoroughly. Being close to Halloween, they made some fabulous scary Lanterns.

How good does Jacob's Lantern look? he was very pleased with it.

We then headed over to the Crystal Ski Holiday's snow room - which is where the kids spent most of the day! They rolled around the fake snow, chucked it about, kicked it about - it kept them amused for hours - they were covered in it, even brought some home (in their shoes and hair etc.).

Jacob and Summer got to mix and take home their own Masalas spice mix with Mini Nom Noms.  Mini Nom Noms are ready meals made with zero added nasties, no additives, preservatives, added salt or sugar. These authentic ready meals include at least one of the five-a-day, and are available to buy in Ocado.

The final event of the day was with Perform. The Children's entertainment workshop, this session got all the kids involved, and they had tons of fun - it finished the day of perfectly. You can probably tell in the photo below, the theme was magic.

Plus we went away with an awesome goodie bag full of goodies. We were thoroughly spoilt and loved every minute of the day.
