You beauty discovery box - October 2013

You Beauty Discovery

Yesterday I received my first ever you beauty discovery box.

My first impression was 'I love it!'. The box itself is a cute little box, half the size of the other beauty boxes.  Enclosed is a small booklet, and then it is packed with your two goodies you can pick, and a further two added extras.

There were 6 sample products to choose from, and the two items I picked were:

Tangle Teezer, compact styler - I have been dying to try this brush for a while now, but never got round to it. I was keen to try the brush out, so I washed my hair,  it sits perfectly in my hand and really comfortable to use. It brushed through my thick hair with ease and I cannot express how pleased I finally got to try this out.. this one will be popped into my bag, and I am now looking to purchase the larger size to keep in dressing table.
Crabtree & Everlyn Gardeners Hand Therapy 25g - This is a brand I have read and seen lots about, but never tried any of their products.  The tube of cream is nice sized sample, enough to last a couple.   Made with shea butter and macadamia nut oil it smells divine, giving a really warm scent. I found it to be a thick cream that absorbs into my hands with ease; this is perfect for my very dry hands, with instant results.

And the added extras:
Nakd bar - mine was a cocoa orange flavour, unfortunately I do not like orange flavoured chocolate, so this will be going in my hubby's pack lunch box. ;)
Pocket mirror - I love this! It's really well made, the best way to describe it is, it a metal badge, but the pin side (no pin) is the mirror.   This one is going into my purse.
Booklet - with lots of information on all this month's 'you beauty' shortlisted items.

You beauty discovery box is a monthly subscription, costing just £6.95 P&P included in this price (good price compared to other competitor beauty boxes). At the beginning of each month they will send you an email prompting you choose your two beauty samples from there latest updated shortlist.

In addition to the monthly box, they will also offer one-off limited edition boxes (at least 4 different boxes per year). The limited edition boxes will either be a theme or packed with an array of samples from one brand - between 6 - 12 items. These boxes are not included in the monthly subscription, if the limited edition box takes your fancy, you will have to make a one-off payment.

I love discovering and experiencing new brands, and products that I would not normally try or buy. I can do just that with the 'you beauty discovery box'!

What about you - have you tried the you beauty discovery box yet? What samples did you choose this month?
