Dr. Seuss - Green Eggs and Ham and Fox in Socks #giveaway
Dr. Seuss books have been around for such a very long time and they are still going strong! You'll probably find one of his books in every classroom. Why? because they are full of fun phrases, joyful illustrations, joyful and colourful characters and poignant messages (do not be afraid to try new things). They are a great tool for learning about the initial processes of reading and recognizing written language.
Dr . Seuss books are a great way to encourage reluctant readers like my youngest son, as these books offer silly rhymes and quirky illustrations which make them great to read out loud, together sharing and learning the Dr. Seuss way.
I love Dr. Seuss and have read his stories since I was a kid. Green Eggs and Ham is probably one of my favourite childhood books. The story follows "Sam-I-Am" as he pesters an unnamed character to eat a dish of green eggs and ham. The unnamed character refuses, responding, "I do not like green eggs and ham. I do not like them, Sam-I-Am". Then there is the fun and exciting Fox in Socks - this story follows two quickly characters, Fox and Knox, where both speak almost entirely in densely rhyming tongue-twisters.
These timeless books are loved by previous generations and are sure to be loved by generations to come. If you would like to win your own copy of Green Eggs and Ham please enter via the Rafflecopter widget below. Good luck.
