3 Cleaning Hacks

Like most Mums, I live a very busy life. With 4 children, 2 dogs (1 of which is a lively puppy), 2 cats and 1 bearded dragon. In addition to this, both hubby and I work full-time jobs - I am lucky whereas I work from home full time, thus, I tend to clean throughout the day, my ideal situation would be where I pay for a specialist cleaning service to clean my home, but this is not always feasible. Thus, I love cleaning hacks as it gets the job done quickly and easily.

Below are my 3 favourite cleaning hacks:

Cleaning toys in the dishwasher - Thank god for a dishwasher, probably my favourite household appliance because washing-up is one of my worse household chores, my dishwasher saves tons of times.  And, my favourite cleaning hack is to clean the kids toys and other items in the dishwasher - I also clean my cloths - microfibre cloths clean up great in the dishwasher.  I also chuck the dog and cat bowl in for a cycle, their collars and leads.

Cleaning stainless steel with lemons - I love my shiny kitchen taps, cupboard door handles and appliances, however, they do get water stained. My hack to clean the water stains away is to cut open a lemon and rub it over the stain, clean it with warm soapy water, and wipe dry. Very quick and simple to do.

Cleaning the walls with a mop - the walls get dirty from kids hands, split drinks and all sorts, the worst area is the wall up the stairs - kids dragging their hands on walls. My hack for the quickest way to keep the walls clean is to fill a spray bottle with soapy water, spray the soapy water over the wall and clean up and down the wall with a damp mop - it works best with a microfiber flat bottom mop.

What is your favourite hack?
